Research on Product Development

Most recent doctoral dissertation done in the research group focused on Technological Forecasting and considerations when managing new emerging technologies. Dr. Arho Suominen focused on the qualitative and quantitative assessment of portable fuel cells in his dissertation titled Notes on Emerging Technologies. About Us

The Product Development Research Group was founded in 2004. Previously formed from two research groups, the Electronics Productization research and Software Product Development Research Group, the research had two very distinct focuses points. The group has since evolved into a small but focused group of researches focusing on Technology Foresight, Quality and Reliability and interesting new Emerging Technologies.

Curriculum

The Product Development curriculum is designed on the basis that a prospective student has a bachelor degree or equivalent knowledge on electronics, software engineering or telecommunication. Our Master’s programs builds on your previous technical knowledge by introducing a new aspect on technology. We focus on New Product Development, Quality and Reliability and Business and Commercialization.
